Carroll Hospital Center offers several ways to commemorate the importance of significant people in your life. Gifts of Tribute are the perfect way to:
- Thank a physician, nurse or caregiver for exceptional care.
- Commemorate the life of a family member, colleague or friend.
- Honor a birthday, anniversary, holiday or special event.
Below are ways in which you can participate in our Gifts of Tribute program. We’ll promptly acknowledge your gift with an inscribed card to the person, family or organization you ask us to notify. Gifts of any amount are gratefully accepted, and information about your gift will be confidential. To make a gift or receive more information, contact the Foundation office at 410-871-6200, e-mail

Blessed Beginnings
The Blessed Beginnings Wall is the perfect way to celebrate the arrival of your newest family member while supporting the terrific programs and services at The Family Birthplace. No matter when the newest edition to your family was born, a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle or friends can purchase Baby Blocks for any child born at Carroll Hospital Center.
Baby Blocks are available in five sizes:
Etched Glass - $900
A beautifully etched Baby Block with a 7" x 7" space for your baby's name, birth date and parents’ names, as well as a special message.
Etched Glass - $700
A smaller version of our lovely etched glass Baby Block with a 4" x 4" space for your baby's name, birth date and parents’ names, as well as a special message.
- Large Wooden Block with brass nameplate - $500
This large block includes the baby’s name, birth date, name of the donor or parents, as well as a special message.
- Medium Wooden Block with brass nameplate - $300
This block will be inscribed to include the baby’s name, birth date and name of the donor or parents.
- Small Wooden Block with brass nameplate - $100
This block will be inscribed with the baby’s name and birth date.
Garden of Remembrance
The Garden of Remembrance offers a peaceful, beautiful setting to honor or memorialize a fellow hospital associate, medical staff member, volunteer or board member who has given graciously of their time and talent to benefit Carroll Hospital Center. These special people will be permanently recognized with an engraved brick placed in the pathway around the hospital garden, located off Center Street.
You may purchase a brick with a minimum donation of $50. The engraving may include the honoree’s name and hospital affiliation (associate, volunteer, physician, board member). Donations that exceed $50 will be used toward the daily care and maintenance of the garden.
Flag Court Bricks
Honor or memorialize an important person in your life with a brick in our Flag Court. Bricks may be engraved with up to three lines of text, 15 characters per line.
