The Junior Volunteer Program is no longer accepting
applications for Summer 2009.
A great opportunity for students, 14-18 years old, to volunteer for a community organization, while earning service hours that may be applied to their required 75 hours of community service for the
Carroll County school system.

Requirements for the Junior Volunteer Program at Carroll Hospital Center:

Complete application and have it signed by your parent/guardian and school counselor.

Return application and essay to Volunteer Services.

Interview with Director of Volunteer Services.

Agree to serve a minimum of 40 hours of volunteer service over a 3-month period.

Attend all required training.
Once you become a Junior Volunteer, you will have a diverse selection of volunteer opportunities to choose from, including:
- General clerical and administrative duties
- Assisting nursing staff—Discharge patients via wheelchair, assist with patient transfers, act as a liaison between nursing stations and the lab, deliver flowers, assist at nursing stations and so much more!
The Junior Volunteer Program begins in the spring, when applications become available. Interviews and training are held in April and May, with the volunteer term running June through August.
