Hope and Healing Luncheon raises more than $22,000 fo The Breast Center at Carroll Hospital Center

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Westminster, Md. – (October 26, 2009) — It was a day filled with laughter and messages of hope as about 150 people gathered for Carroll Hospital Center’s annual Hope and Healing luncheon on Sunday, October 11 at the Inn at Roop’s Mill in Westminster, Md. The event, held in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month, was a huge success, raising more than $22,000 in net proceeds for The Breast Center at Carroll Hospital Center.
Baltimore Sun columnist, Susan Reimer, served as guest speaker and gave a humorous and poignant presentation on the challenges of juggling family and a career. The event also featured speakers, Ronda Badiang, a breast cancer survivor, and Linda Mills, Hope and Healing committee chair, as well as door prizes and a silent auction.
