Raising the bar in cancer care
The multidisciplinary oncology team at Carroll Hospital Center works together to achieve one important goal: bringing the best cancer care to our community. As a testament to our dedication, the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer recently awarded our program accreditation with commendation, placing us among the best in the nation in a broad-based network of comprehensive cancer programs that offer the entire spectrum of cancer care—from the latest diagnostic techniques and state-of-the-art treatments to preventive screenings, support groups, complementary health services, nutrition counseling, educational resources, rehabilitation and long-term follow-up. Ongoing research efforts at the Carroll County Cancer Center also offer eligible patients the chance to participate in groundbreaking clinical trials.
 
Under the direction of a board-certified oncologist and nationally certified oncology nurse coordinator, our oncology unit cares for patients with most types of cancer. Patients who require hospitalization receive compassionate care in comfortable, private rooms equipped with a bathroom, television, plenty of natural light and a pullout sofa where family members can visit or even sleep overnight.
