In an effort to streamline the medical records system for our patients and their health care team, we have not only introduced an electronic medical record system, but have enhanced that system with a state-of-the-art picture archiving and communication system (PACS). PACS allows your physician and other authorized clinicians involved in your care, the ability to transmit, store and retrieve diagnostic images, such as X-rays and ultrasound.

Physicians no longer have to wait for diagnostic images to be processed, printed and manually retrieved. Once an image it taken and interpreted by a radiologist, it can be immediately added to the patient’s electronic medical record and available for viewing on special computer systems throughout the hospital or via the physician’s office workstation.
